Got An Eye For Art? Then, Attend the Opening Reception for the International Watermedia Exhibit
Founded in 1975, the Watercolor Art Society–Houston is a non-profit organization with over 700 members. For over 40 years, WAS-H has brought the excitement of water-media to the greater Houston area with outstanding exhibitions, world-class instruction and dedicated community outreach.
The 42nd International Watermedia Exhibition is Houston's premier watermedia-specific event. A once-a-year phenomenon, the IWE showcases the finest watermedia artists from around the world to address new and edgy techniques and create a global conversation. Throughout March, participating artists will receive maximum exposure at our exhibit and have an opportunity to win generous awards.
This year highly sought after Andy Evansen is the honorary Juror and Instructor. Andy’s paintings have appeared on the cover of American Artist’s Watercolor magazine and in International Artist, Watercolor Artist, Plein Air and American Art Collector magazines. He is a member of American Watercolor Society, Northwest Watercolor Society, Red River Watercolor Society, and Plein Air Painters of America.
Located in the heart of the Museum District, Watercolor Art Society–Houston is accessible and a must-see while touring Houston's fine art establishments. The exhibit will be on display through April 4th.
If you feel like escaping Casa Palmas Apartments in Pasadena, Texas for the day, this event is a perfect opportunity to do just that! Trust us when we say that there’s no harm in getting out and exploring the greater community.
