Fans of fine food and wine are cordially invited to attend one of the finest – and most delicious – culinary festivals in Houston. The 14th International Risotto Festival will be held on Sunday, November 10th at The Houston Design Center.
This gourmet strolling event includes an afternoon of delicious Italian foods and wonderful wines, including samplings of antipasti, tastings of all risotto entries, Italian music and entertainment, an exotic car display, activities for kids and designer showroom tours. Some of Houston’s top chefs will also be on-site, as they participate in this year’s competition.
Since 2000, the International Risotto Festival has raised more than $750,000 for worthy causes including the Dean’s Academic Excellence Fund at the University of Houston. This year, the festival will benefit BEAR: Be A Resource for CPS Kids.
BEAR’s programs serve children in the care of CPS throughout Harris County by providing emergency supplies: diapers, clothes, shoes, car seats and cribs, formula, school uniforms/supplies, and more. BEAR even provides items needed for youth who are graduating from high school and transitioning out of CPS care.
International Risotto Festival tickets start at $75 and are on sale now at www.eventbrite.com. There will also be a VIP experience with Chris Shepherd and his newly launched book “Cook Like a Local.” The VIP experience will include a book signing, premium wines, delicious bites, and warm hospitality at Thorntree VIP Lounge. Whether you grab general admission tickets or VIP admission, be sure to mark this event in your calendar!
At Casa Palmas Apartments in Pasadena, Texas, we pride ourselves on informing our residents about all the upcoming events our beautiful community has to offer. Don’t hesitate to join this event on Sunday.
